Each year, the United States Basketball Academy presents several opportunities for top players to attend one of our premier `exposure` camps. Over the past years, many coaches from around the world have scouted talent at the USBA for their various professional leagues. Our camps are unique! You must be recommended by a qualified coach prior to being accepted for admission to our camps. Our camps are a service to our foreign partners and must feature the best players and people. Character is very important to us and that is why we evaluate the total person.
We don`t just throw the ball out and have a few games like many other camps. Our schedule includes individual instruction by position, featuring USBA`s elite coaching staff with coaches such as Bob Hill (Indiana Pacers and San Antonio Spurs), Jack Schalow (Portland Trailblazers and Utah Jazz), Jim Harrick, Dale Brown, Bill Cartwright (Chicago Bulls), Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Bob Gaillard and many other top NBA and college mentors. Each camp is limited to 64 players with teams of no more than 8. The USBA camps feature individual station work combined with a minimum of four games for each team. Visiting coaches insist that our camps are the most professional and effective evaluation tools available to them anywhere in the USA. Last year we had 47 visiting coaches and general managers at our Spring camp. As the exclusive partner of the Asian Basketball Confederation and its 44 countries, the USBA has a direct line to all of the professional leagues and their decision makers within this region.
All players receive complete USBA All-Star uniforms and shoes.
